It is not enough to be a Christian if that fact does not show in one’s conduct. James is not saying that you become a Christian because you are a good person. No, he’s saying if you are a Christian, your life will reflect that. If you are a Christian, you don’t have to tell people you are a Christian. They will see that you are Christian.
