Introduction to The Revealer

We kick off this morning with a two-part sermon.

Everyone would like to know what will happen in the future.

Businessmen will pay millions to know how they should invest.

In some marketplaces you find people using tarot cards to predict one’s future for a price.

Maybe in the past you glanced at a horoscope, and your eyes zoomed in to your birth month to read what some writer predicted will happen to you?

Many will visit witch doctors and sangomas to know the future.

Some will consult the dead.

The reason we want to know the future is normally for self-centered reasons.

We don’t want to make bad decisions.

What we do want is financial success and we want our plans to succeed.

We desire the perfect husband/ wife, not a dud.  The desire to know the future is not wrong, but where you seek to find the answers may be!

Pursuing the right source makes all the difference.

Who or what is the right source?

God and His word is the right source.

Only God is the true revealer of that mystery.

God alone control the future.

God alone should be consulted about the future.

Ponder this:

God has already revealed the future.

Everything you need to know about the future, in His word.

Our passage this morning unveils God as the revealer of the unknowable.

The revealer of mysteries and the revealer of the future
