Membership at Witbank Baptist Church

If you’ve been attending WBC, are born again, and have prayerfully decided to make this your spiritual home—we rejoice with you. Membership is not just a formality; it’s a joyful step into a community life, service, and spiritual growth.
Steps to Becoming a Member
1. Complete the forms.

2. Attend Discovery Classes
Our Discovery Class runs over 4 weeks and introduces:
Our church’s doctrine and mission
What it means to belong to a local body
How you can grow and serve at WBC
3. Meet with an Elder
After completing the class, one of our elders or team members will meet with you to discuss your journey and next steps.
4. Baptism (if applicable)
If you haven’t yet been through believers’ baptism, we’ll guide you through baptismal classes and arrange your baptism at church.
Baptism at Witbank Baptist Church
There is deep joy in witnessing believers publicly declare their inward faith through water baptism. At WBC, baptism is a visible testimony of the grace already received—a step of obedience, humility, and worship. Each baptism reminds us of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, and the believer’s union with Him.
“We were buried therefore with Him by baptism into death…” — Romans 6:4
Life as a Member
As a member of WBC, you’ll be encouraged to:
Join our prayer and Bible study groups
Grow spiritually through Sunday Seminary and teaching
Connect with elders or deacons to explore areas of service
Be equipped for ministry, just as believers were in the New Testament
“To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.” — 1 Corinthians 12:7

We are a growing church—establishing ourselves as a solid expository preaching church with a missionary heart. We take seriously the call to glorify Christ through teaching, worship, fellowship, outreach, and prayer.
