This morning we journey through Psalm 32 as it takes us from guilt to joy through the forgiveness of God.

David understood the misery of keeping his sin hidden but also knew the blessed state of confession and pardon from the Lord.

It does not come from pretending we have no sin or deceitfully hiding but being transparent with God and trusting God enough to uncover it to Him and trusting in His Mercy and Grace.

Before we look at the Psalm, lets briefly recall the story behind the psalm as it helps us feel the weight of David’s choices.

The main truth of this psalm is that forgiven people have reason to rejoice in the Lord.

3 Characteristics Of The Forgiven Person That Produce Joy In The Lord:

  1. The forgiven man is blessed vs 1-2,11.
  2. The forgiven man confesses vs 3-5,9.
  3. The forgiven man prays vs 6-8, 10.
