There are times in life when one is faced with a major trial, a major hurt. It’s in those times you are confronted with two options.

  1. You can begin to doubt God and His word, that may lead you to a place of sinning and abandoning God.
  2. You can choose to trust God, trust His character even if you do not fully understand the why or understand how this forms a part of God’s plan.

Historical Background

  • Matthew 11-12  – Matthew brings all the evidence into a courtroom, testifying that Jesus is the Messianic King, the son of God and then revealed how people reacted while appealing to them to believe.

  • Matthew 11:1-15 some doubted
  • Matthew 11:16-19 Some criticized
